Depressingly Awful Television Quote: “I still feel guilt when I hurt people.” - some douchetard on one of MTV’s reality shows

(wo)man, and the tellie has become such a warped and dangerous tool I believe. As a surragate parent for many American  children, I’m sure it does wonders in raising dumbed-down, watered-down, and alienated children, no more remarkable than the monsters that spawned them. Perhaps cynicism doesn’t suit me as well as feigned optimism, but the lack of context that most of the parents I’ve known or seen even bother attempting to provide for their children is disheartening. Creativity is stifled, threatened, and abandoned in our society, in lieu of a state of being whose end can only foster disharmony. Petty materialism, selfish motivations, and a fatalistic apathy has infected many of us, and it would appear that this majority has no desire for change.
